Things you may want to know
Sunday Worship Services
Sunday morning at 10:30 am we gather as a Christian community for prayer, praise and sharing the Christian story. Come dressed as you wish, sit anywhere and relax - we don't stand on ceremony here at Trinity United Church.
Communion
We celebrate holy communion on the second Sunday of every month. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Baptism & Renewal of Baptimal Faith
We celebrate baptism and the renewal of baptismal faith regularly. For more information about baptism and membership, please contact the Church office.
Offerings
During our worship, an offering is given for the work of the Church in Port Coquitlam and around the world. Regular attendees often prefer to use offering envelopes or PAR (Pre-authorized remittance) which enables the Church to provide a receipt for income tax purposes. If you would like to have offering envelopes or more information about PAR, please indicate on the "Newcomer Card" in the pews.
The United Church Crest
For our church members, this insignia is a spiritual and historical reminder:
Oval Shape is derived from the outline of a fish - a symbol of identity used by the early Christians
"X" at the centre is the first letter in the Greek word for Christ
Open Bible represents the Congregational Churches with their emphasis upon God's truth that makes people free
Dove is emblematic of the Holy Spirit whose transforming power has been a distinctive mark of Methodism
Burning Bush is a symbol of Presbyterianism and refers to the bush that was burned and not consumed, and symbolized the indestructibility of the Church
Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, symbolizing the eternal, living God, in the fullness of creation
